GREAT DAY COLLEGE HILL & FRIENDS!
Do you recall as a child trying to learn to ride a bicycle? I certainly can. There were plenty of down times. I thought I would never be able to stay upon a bike. It wasn’t until my older brother began to hold the bike up and guide me along that my confidence grew and I began riding by myself. The bike riding adventure is similar to a new Christian starting out with Christ. There are times when you will fall, stumble and be tempted to give up your new walk. But don’t! Just like my brother guided me, so will Christ guide you. Psalm 5:8 teaches that we can ask Jesus to, “Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.” We know that this request will be honored. Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, “…whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall receive.”
Therefore, we can be assured then that He will guide us. David reminds us that God lead him. Check Psalm 23:2 where he stated, “He maketh me to lie down in green pasture: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” Also, I find in Isaiah 30:21 his testament to the fact that our Lord will guide you. Isaiah said, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” My many years as a Christian have led me to lean and depend on Jesus Christ’s guidance. I hope that you will let Jesus lead you all the way. He’s a mighty good leader who is willing and able to guide you from earth to heaven!
Blessings to you,
